My regular riding gear and some comments on why...

Shoei Neotec - helmets are a personal thing but I do like a flip-front with drop-down sunshield and ratchet fastening. I hate double D-rings. It's reasonably quiet and great for cold weather but way too stuffy when it's hot, especially if you're sat behind a big screen. Much better when you remove the chin curtain.

I have an Acerbis dual-sport style helmet for bashing on low hanging branches, if I know I'm going to be on the trails a lot. It's cooler at lower speeds too.

When it comes time to change, I'll look seriously at the Touratech Aventuro Mod helmet which looks very promising.

Sena 20S Bluetooth headset for intercom (pillion or bike-to-bike), music, podcasts and satnav. Great for motorway stretches.

Really good range with another 20S, less so with anything else as you're limited to the weakest transmitter.
Counter-intuitively the sound is clearer when used with earplugs, though you'll need to turn up the volume.

Klim Overland jacket and trousers - I get hot easily and these are more lightweight than most and proven fully waterproof. They're still too hot on a GSA but I wouldn't want to go much thinner, for protection. Personal preference. Also, I won't buy black bike gear as I just cook in the sun.

Keis heated jacket - under the jacket for when it does get cold. Easy temperature regulation for changes in weather or altitude.

It is a little bulkier than I'd like, more of a problem when I'm not wearing it. Goes in a pannier, topbox or drybag no problem but I'd guessimate it would take up about 10-15 litres with crushing it down too much and risking damage to the heating wire or connections.

Forma Adventure boots - comfy out of the box and not ridiculously expensive. I can walk considerable distances in them without problems.
Mine are getting on a bit and will leak water after sustained soaking. Gortex would be better but that would put up the price.

SealSkinz gloves and long SealSkinz socks - I will change to these if I've been in the rain for several hours.
Gloves are a huge pain in the arse to get on with wet hands.

My regular gloves are BMW GS Rallye as I like a short glove with good feel and ventilation. I have trouble finding gloves that fit, but love these.

Latest addition is a Kriega R20 backpack, allowing me to explore the rough stuff (without my topbox) and still be able to carry stuff. Water bladder is more convenient on your back too.
